Parody

This week's post is about parodies and satires. I really didn't know what to write about this. So I'm just winging it. The Weeknd is a very different and amazing singer. He has his own looks and has the most angelic voice. He writes songs about drugs, women, sex, and partying. Some of his hit songs are The Hills, Can't Feel My Face, Earned it, In the Night, and Tell Your Friends. As I was searching for some parodies, I found a lot about The Hills and Can't Feel My Face. So I picked out a parody of Can't Feel My Face. This song is about cocaine. It sounds like this song is about a girl but being the genius he is, he compared her to cocaine. I found this video by Bart Baker and it's kinda funny to me.

Life Lessons

So this week's blog is about life lessons. I then thought to myself and started saying what did I learn so far. I learned a lot over the years and decided to write about this specific one. When you have a friend from childhood, you expect them to stay with you throughout the years. I still have some friends from like elementary school. Like I still have Michelle, I was her first friend when we met in pre-k. We've gotten through the years together. I'm glad we did stay together. But there was someone I didn't expect to leave. I was shocked and didn't know what to do. I kept thinking what I did wrong. It made me feel like everything was my fault and I felt so guilty for everything. I thought to myself, "Wow they made a big impact on my life and he's not here anymore." I didn't know what to do. I was scared to say something. I tried to forget but it's really hard forgetting memories and the person who I spent my childhood with. So I'm like okayyy whatever I can't think about this because it's so stupid holding onto someone that isn't going to do anything or be there for me. This thought kept going through my head. I kept thinking that he did what he had to do so he can be happy. He decided that he didn't want me in his life anymore and I can't do anything about it so I tried not thinking about it and be happy. It's hard but I'll try and get through it. So not everyone you meet and used to be friends with is going to be in your life forever. People come and go. They leave for reasons. I'm glad that I have friends that stayed with me through tough times and didn't decide to leave me. That person taught me a lesson. I don't expect people to stay with me forever. Everything happens for a reason. So that's it for this week's blog and I'll see you guys next week.

Myths: Kuchisake-onna

Once again, this is off topic. I don't know why our teacher makes us do these topics but whatever. This topic is about myths. There are scary myths and not so scary myths. Me being a person who loves scary stuff and enjoying the gruesome and gore in movies, I obviously had to do a scary one. I noticed that a lot of the myths and urban legends are from Japan and I am part Japanese so I had to do one based on Japan. Anyways, I have one that I'm really interested in. This myth is about Kuchisake-onna or The slit mouthed woman. It is said that there was a stunning woman who married a Samurai. The samurai was filled with anger and got a sword and slit her mouth saying, "Who's going to think you're beautiful now?" After that, it is said she roams the streets in Japan wearing a surgical mask. If you have bad luck coming in contact with her, she will ask you a questions. "Do you think I'm beautiful?'' If you say yes, she takes off the mask and yells, "What about now?" If you answer no, she will have an oversized pair of scissors and slit your throat. If you say yes, she is still going to do the same thing. You can't run away from her either. She will be everywhere you go. People say she mostly hunts for children and some have seen her in other places like South Korea. But there is one thing you could do so you can get away from her. If she asks you the question, you can say "You look alright" or " I think you're average." It will make her confused and giving you time to run away from her. So that's it. Hopefully I didn't make you scared but I really don't care. See ya guys next time.

Conspiracy Theory

Heyyyyyy!!!! Anyway, this week we are going to talk about conspiracy theories. There are a couple conspiracy theories about the Weeknd but I'm just going to talk about one. During his great success during the summer, he released 3 music videos. He released The Hills, Can't Feel My Face, and Tell Your Friends. All great songs by the way. But all those music videos have a connection. If you see them all in order (Can't Feel My Face, The Hills, Tell Your Friends) it tells a strange story. You see that strange looking guy everytime in the videos. Well that guy represents the devil. There are theories that Abel sold his soul to the devil for money, fame, etc. But who knows? But for now, we can hope that he makes more music for 2016 that we can all enjoy.
